About Victoria, BCPosted by Sarah, on December 14th, 2009

Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia, sitting just on the south tip of Vancouver lsland off the west coast of BC. With it’s population of about 300,000, Victoria is well-known for it’s immaculate beauty and sense of longevity.

Victoria is rich in history, and the majority of its downtown area has been restored to its original beauty. With an average of 2,183 hours of sunshine yearly, and an eight month frost free season, it’s climate is perfect for weddings any time of the year.

The city is home to many natural parks and beautiful architecture. Among them are Beacon Hill Park, which houses much of our wedding photography! Another is The Fairmont Empress, a gorgeous hotel in the heart of the city a recently with a $45 million restoration. We also love Butchart Gardens, one of the world’s premier floral show gardens.

In addition to our timeless locations are the activities that complement them. Our number one recommendation? The romantic carriage tours that can take you from The Empress Hotel to Beacon Hill Park a truly a moment to remember.
